I think that's an rx8. Not many mx5s have dual exhaust. And while you can get a hardtop mx5, none of them have 2 pieces of glass on the sides. And I think I saw a second side window right at the beginning of the video.

Wanna know the really sad part? You can actually get a kit to install spark plugs in your exhaust system to intentionally ignite the rich mixture coming out the back to make it "look cool".

I stand corrected. Looking through the original video where I could see the side, it is in deed a Mazda RX8. It was damn loud.

The dash cam picked up the pops through closed windows that have good soundproofing.
