So, I'm a car dealer, so I switch cars a lot. Even the car that's "my" car usually changes at least every few months. I've got Viofo cameras hardwired in my cars that I actually intend to keep, but I would like to find something that I can easily switch between cars. I would like if it had some kind of interior facing camera too to give me a half-assed rear view without having to put a camera on the back, but I would consider just a front view. What should I be looking at?

If I’m not running the Escort MaxCam 360c to get a radar detector and dashcam in my rental cars, I like to keep a Vantrue X4 on hand as my standalone dashcam since it has a suction cup mount, shoots in 4K, and has an LCD on the back to make it easy to get the dashcam aimed. There’s a new X4S version out now. That only has one front facing camera though.

For your use case you could try a Vantrue N2 Pro which does front/interior recording on a convenient suction cup mount. The interior cam could sorta work as a makeshift rear cam, but that’s not really the main goal.

I’ve experimented with suction cup dashcam mounts on my rear window to get a proper rear cam for quick temporary mounts, but I haven’t had great luck getting them to stick to my rear window, but I do think YMMV on that one.

The Vantrue looks almost perfect, but as far as I can tell it doesn't have Wifi, and although I forgot to include that in my post, I would really prefer to be able to grab footage via Wifi.

I've been thinking about this lately.
Temporary dash cam for rental car / road trips.
I think I might try make a custom suction cup mount for my one of my Viofo cameras.
I got the idea from a $15 temporary rear view mirror.
I bought the correct adhesive / glue to re-mount the OEM rear view mirror to the windshield but it was going to be a few weeks before I could get to it due to improper weather conditions. This was 8 months ago, and the $15 temp mirror has not fallen off with temperature fluctuations from 115F to 28F.
The suction cup on the mirror has some kind of sticky adhesive along with the usual "ratchet clamp" to aid in mounting suction.
Just do an Amazon search for "rear view mirror with suction cup".

Yeah I’ve considered that too, a119 or something with a suction cup mount and a cigarette lighter adapter for power.

This is what I use for temporary mounting. Use any number of methods (velcro, dual lock, etc.) to attach a non-suction camera (wedge, tube, etc.) to the mount.

Garmin DC57 with a suction cup mount is my go-to for rental cars. Last vacation I had it in the car for two weeks - no problems.

That looks much better than what I was building in my mind. lol
What dash cam are you using it with?
And can you upload a photo, or two?

SG 'GC' 'DC' and 'X2' series but would work well with any wedge or tube type cameras.

And can you upload a photo, or two?
Or four? ;)

I use dual-lock on the mount and on the camera plate. Other methods would likely work but that's what I have laying around so that's what I used.

OK, that looks just plain awesome. lol
Now you're making me feel greedy.
Do you have any YouTube video sample footage?
I would like to see how "bouncy" the footage is from vibration.
And I can't find this mount on Amazon.
Do you have an Amazon link to buy one?

Not 'bouncy' at all. This clip is from the first few hours after picking up a new vehicle and a main reason why I do a 'temporary installation'.

While I bought mine from Amazon it appears they're not sold there anymore so direct from Akron might be the only option.

This is beautiful. I love it. No vibration at all.

I just tried to order one.
They only cost $10, but shipping is $9.
I can't justify 100% price increase.
Amazon free shipping has ruined me. lol

Interesting that Amazon doesn't have them, seems like every other Arkon product is sold there. I did find a listing for one on a different site that showed them as being unavailable and discontinued so that might be the case and Arkon is selling remaining stock directly.

Nosing around a bit I found one on eBay with free shipping:

And on Amazon found this that appears it might be the same thing with a different description:

Also on Amazon there's this that looks as though it will work just as well:
