What's your ideal dash cam mounting spot? Any tips?

We all know that choosing the perfect spot to mount your dash cam can make a huge difference in the coverage and clarity it provides. Some of you swear by the traditional windshield mount, others find creative spots that work even better for their vehicles.

Now, we want to hear from YOU!

• Where do you think is the ideal place for a cam if you can put it anywhere you like on your vihecle? And why?

I have been recently trying the G900 pro in my campervan alongside the reversing camera that was fitted as part of the original conversion, so used the dash mount to avoid removing the existing mirror mounted display. Seems to be a pretty good alternative and easy to adjust the camera lens for a good forward view. Fits neatly above the android head unit as below.

And yes, the window blinds are open when driving 🙂

To test the rearview camera, I fitted it inside the living area of the campervan looking at where our dog travels, and it occured to me that this is actually a pretty good use case for it if your vehicle has a factory fit rear view camera already. Examples could be;

- Monitoring of pets/kids on the rear seats
- View of passengers in fare paying vehicles
- View/security of load area in delivery vehicles etc
