Where Do You Aim Your Dashcam?

I currently have the middle of the screen at the horizon.
Get a fair amount of hood in the picture but not excessive sky.
There's distortion at the edges, right (fisheye?).
There's no need to capture the sky, unless the passing meteor or fighter jet drops in, but there'd be massive amount of hood.

Aiming too high will affect the exposure making shadows look too dark and will loose the ability to pick up detail.
 
That's less sky than mine. I think I'll aim down a little more. Thanks.

Your picture is not bad but yes, you could use a little bit less sky. Also it is best to attach the camera as high as possible. Although in some setups not so easy or always possible.
