Which microSD card for U1000 Plus?

It seems this version of the U1000 is very particular about the micro SD card. Has anyone found a non-Thinkware branded card that actually works with the U1000 Plus?

Please be advised that Thinkware MicroSD Cards are highly recommended as it is the only brand that is guaranteed to be compatible with our dashcams.

Even though the non-Thinkware brand MicroSD meets the card requirements, each manufacturer uses slightly different file settings and systems that vary between batches.

As such we cannot guarantee the performance or recommend non-Thinkware brand MicroSD cards with our products.

Maybe ask @SafeDriveSolutions, he is a member here and is a Vancouver retailer and installer, and likely has some solid advice.

Thanks for the tip, lufa. I finally got the sequence of actions right and have been able to format, load, and install both Lexar and Sandisk micro SD cards up to 258 Gb. It's a unique sequence quite different from the old, U1000 that I was used to. The desktop viewer is also quite a change from the old version but "it is what it is" until something better (and simpler) comes along. Being a strong proponent of "KISS", I find that the Thinkware website is quite convoluted in that it takes a lot of poking around to find the actual instructions for installing a new card (or just about anything else for that matter).
