Wi fi connection

Hi I have the 312GW and although my iPhone shows connected to the cam and the cam says connected the app says no connection. I am going round in circles can someone help?
 
Could this possibly be like the issue I had (412GW section )
Check DUAL Files in settings ?
 
What version of firmware is on the Dash Cam?

In order to check what version of firmware you're using;
please stop the camera recording then press menu twice,
scroll down to "system info" or "version" then press OK,
a black screen should pop up with a long text with R.. at the end.
Please tell me what numbers are after the R.

I was trying again for hours last night but still can’t understand why it won’t work. On the app reviews others seem to have same problem. Worked on my last home fine :(
 
Could this be the same 'problem' as with Android phones that can switch to cellular data if the internet is not available from the WiFi?

airplane mode + wifi would say that was the case if it worked, must be something else
