Hello all, I installed the vueroid S1 yesterday and whenever I am viewing footage on the app, the WiFi disconnects like 90% of the time, and I end up having to reconnect it, which is very annoying. Does anyone having the same issue?

What firmware version and what HUB version are you using?

Do you have Apple CarPlay or Android Auto active?

If you are viewing videos via HUB and let HUB fall to the background to answer the phone or text, there is a security feature that drops the WiFi. When viewing video or programming the S1 4K, you need to keep HUB in the foreground.

I am using version V.1.3.11 and the hub version is 1.4.0(149)

No, I don’t have Apple car play or android auto active.

I am not letting it fall in the background, but most of the time when I tried to download a footage or to view a footage, I heard the dashcam saying disconnecting from WiFi.

Hmm...that is interesting. I have not had WiFi drop unless I move the app to the background.

What brand cellphone and version of OS? Using 5g or 4g? Any VPN, etc. working in the background...or trying to connect so that it would drop the WiFi connection to the S1 4K? Which memory card?

I have tested four different S1 4K and have not experienced what you are describing. So, all I can offer are suggestions for finding out what is happening.

I am using the iPhone 17 pro max and iOS 26.2. I am using 5g and there is no VPN working in the background. The only connection I have turn on in the background is my Bluetooth. I am thinking maybe I received a defective camera, especially that few people already stated that they never experienced that issue

It may be 26.2 .... but I ain't swearing on it. I have a 15+ and an iPad Pro, both on 18, and no problems. Do you have access to an Android phone or iPhone that has lower than 26 iOS? You would only need to put HUB on one of those phones to check.

I have sent a message to VUEROID about this, but it is Friday there, and I am not sure who is in the office today.

No, I don’t have another phone that I can use.

I really appreciate you doing that. I really hope something can be done because I really like this camera so far.

Well, crud, it is a shame you don't have another cell to test with. The 17PM is using the N1 modem, which is WiFi 7, but it should work anyway. There were reports last year of the 17 series N1 dropping WiFi, but I don't recall what the fix was. Other than that, a few people said replacing their phone fixed the issue. If you have not had WiFi issues with other devices, then your modem is probably OK.

I will continue to look to see what may be causing this issue.

I am glad to help. Currently, 26.x has been hit-or-miss for people, and the current uptake of 26 on iPhone is really low. 26.3 beta fix is in the pipe, but not sure when it will be released.

Does the WiFi connection stay active while you are programming the S1 4K? Is it only dropping when downloading or viewing a video?

Thinking about this, I think two of the other testers are on 26 also. One is on a 15+, and I have not heard him state there was an issue with downloading files; the other has a 17 series, I believe.

Yeah, it stay active and only when I tried to download a video or video one, that’s when it gets disconnected.

Hi. Dave .. Sorry for inconvenience.
According to your report " whenever I am viewing footage on the app" , it means during operate playback function .
whether is it a defective or not , we need to check another point . How about live view or setting ?
if live view is OK, It mean Carmera is OK , and there is another reason , (for example , version of phone or Hub app bug which corelated with version of mobile phone OS)
According to our study , it related iphone 17. most of dashcam have same issue . we will keep on searching solution. and we already ask this point to Apple.

Thank you for reaching out to us through Amazon. While we are communicating with you separately, we wanted to share this information here as well so that others who may have the same question can also find it helpful.

On iPhone 17 devices running iOS 26.X, there is a known issue where apps that connect to devices via Wi-Fi — including Vueroid Hub — may experience operational errors due to a system-level behavior. Apple has provided a partial fix in iOS 26.2, which has improved the situation: previously, connection interruptions occurred about 90% of the time, but this has now been reduced to roughly 30%.
We are continuously exploring ways to minimize these errors within the current technical limitations. However, for a clear and complete resolution, support from Apple is essential, and it is unlikely that the issue can be fully resolved in the short term.

We truly regret that we are unable to provide a more immediate solution at this time. We believe it will likely be addressed in a future iOS update; however, since this is beyond our direct control, we cannot guarantee the timing or outcome, and we sincerely ask for your understanding.

In the meantime, please note that you can still view and download videos by connecting your phone directly to the device in OTG mode, without removing the SD card or using the Wi-Fi app connection.

So I tried it in live view five different times, and the WiFi got disconnected once. I also tried it in settings five different times, and it got disconnected three times out of the five.

Man, it is a shame you don't know someone with an Android phone that could test this for you; all they would need to do is put HUB on the phone. Granted, the S1 4K could have failed, but 26.2 is still dropping WiFi and cellular connections. Some users are downloading the IPSW and reinstalling 26.2 without much luck; some are doing a network reset, but that is not helping.

I wish I knew someone with an android but everybody seems to have iPhones nowadays.

Perhaps you can find someone with an iPad or iPhone running iOS 17 or iOS 18? The connection problem has been reported since last year, when 26 came out. It was on WiFi and Cellular. It was happening on CarPlay and really, most anything else. But, it was at times hit or miss as to who had the problem. Folks first thought the connection issue was only on iPhone 17 due to the new Apple-designed N1 modem, but people were also reporting issues with iPhone 16.

I am thinking of getting a replacement just to see if the issue still exists on the new one.
