Wifi not always starting

I wanted to download a video today from my LK-7950WD but when I toggled the wifi switch, there
was no chime and the wifi did not start.

What could be the cause?

No idea.
Do you have the Wi-Fi dongle fully inserted into the camera?
What firmware are you running?

Iam using Fi 17. yes, teh dongle is fully inserted.
After I turned the camera off and on, I got it to work... but still

Hmm that is odd. Sounds like a hardware malfunction.
I would advise getting a replacement WiFi dongle via the store you bought the camera from.
