Can someone explain the new Wi-Fi options please. (Station vs. AP)?

AP option is for connecting git2 with git app for mobile phone , we still waiting for the official app but in the meantime you can use 3rd party apps with limited functions to control cam from mobile phone. With station option you can connect your git2 cam with your pc thru router ! when connected, if configuration is ok, you can download pic and video thru for instance chrome browser from your cam , you can view video stream from cam thru vlc player etc.
