Releasing the F900LDH camera from the windshield mount is aggravating because the two tabs on the tray that hold the camera must be pried away from the camera body. With the way the tray is made, you can only do this by trying to pry the 2 tabs away from the top & bottom of the camera with your finger nails.

I adapted the tray to allow easy Quick Release.
I epoxied two arms that I made (.25cm x 2cm)to the outside of the two clamp tabs of the tray, extending from the tip of each tab to 1 cm beyond the back of the tray, creating a fulcrum so that I can now easily use 2 fingers to release the camera by lightly pressing the extended arms inward towards each other, spreading the tab cleats slightly away from the recesses in the camera. This is an easy concept which DOD should add to the mounting tray. I have a photo but this board will not accept due to data file size.

Hi Cincinnati,

Sounds interesting. Perhaps you could post the photo to imageshack or postimage.org. Would like to see how it looks.
