Six months later and we are back again with another Wolfbox release, the follow-up to last year's G900 Pro, the G900 TriPro. Wolfbox has taken it's strengths with their previous model and further refined their offering here, making a compelling product for the masses wanting a rear-view mirror dashcam. (What we have here is the 'Cabin' version, while there is a 'Bumper' version that swaps out the interior camera for a further IP67 waterproof outside camera).
Marking the new changes for the TriPro version on the review bench is the swap of the older rear Sony IMX335 sensor, for the newest of OmniVision's offerings, the OS04J10, a 2.5K sensor with superior low-light imaging capabilities with PureCel Plus technology. This should make for a far upgraded experience when it comes to night and low-light vision recording scenarios. There is also a 1080p interior camera with 4 infrared lights, HDR is also now offered across all three channels, and 256GB Wolfbox-branded microSD memory card and multi-size USB-C hardwire kit is also conveniently included.
When it comes to the box contents, we have the two-tone black and orange scheme which extends to the dashcam itself. Everything is packaged quite neatly with the printed text saying what contents are contained within each packet. Starvis 2 branding is now also included on the box itself, which was absent on the older G900 Pro. The G900 TriPro sporty-looking logo is also a nice little touch. The specific contents in the marked packets are as follows:
User Manual: printed quick start and user manuals, two electrostatic stickers for dashcam mounting
Power Supply Cable: USB-C cigarette lighter adapter rated for 5V4A (with additional USB-A port), rubber mounting straps for the G900 TriPro rear-view mirror dashcam
GPS: GPS mount and 1080p cabin (interior) camera
2.5K Rear Camera: 2.5K IP67 rear waterproof camera, orange plastic pry tool, adhesive cable clips, outside car bracket for rear camera, spare adhesive mounts for interior and rear cameras, microfibre cleaning cloth
First impressions of the laminated 12-inch display are positive, with clear text and easy touchscreen navigation. Much like the older G900 Pro, the feel in-hand is solid with no creaking - conveying a sense of premium build quality. The rear and interior cabin cameras also have solid build quality, which makes for a confident first introduction to the G900 TriPro. Installation of the dashcam is a straightforward affair with the multitude of included accessories making the experience relatively painless. Initial firmware installed is V1.2.6_250220 (front) and V1.0.1_250114 (rear); my full review on the Wolfbox G900 TriPro will be forthcoming soon.
