X2PRO storage usage

Is the amount of microSD storage used by the SGGCX2PRO the same in single-channel 1080p60 mode as it is in dual channel 1080p30? My gut feeling is it must be, assuming bitrates aren’t also adjusted behind the scenes.

Basically I’m curious whether adding a rear camera is something where at the same time I should also be considering getting a larger card if the one I’m using now is sufficient in 1080p60 mode.

The way the compression works (barely any change between frames) 60FPS does not take nearly as much space as two Independent 30FPS videos being recording from dual channel.

Yes you’ll need/want a bigger card.

dual channel has optional quality settings, 12mbit, 15mbit, 18mbit, when in single channel mode at 60fps the bitrate is 20mbit so dual channel will use more memory
