YI 4K vs ThiEYE T5e

No wonder gopro is laying off people.

Especially at the price, £99 at Gearbest!
 
ThiEYE T5e WiFi 4K 30fps with Ambarella A12 Processor and IMX117 Sensor is a good action camera at a good price:
 
yi2 has a much better image quality for contrast and distortion- but yi2 is double the price, so you get what you pay for. i just bought 6 thieye t5e at gearbest for a 360 camera rig as it is the best price/quality ratio at the moment (and the $90 price difference is x6 as i need 6 cameras :) )- the downsides of the t5 is huge flaring (andoer c5 that has same chip seem to have a lens with better coating and thus less lens flaring) and very noticeable chromatic aberration (the blue fringes on the borders), otherwise detail wise it is similar to the yi2. yi2 has scripting capabilities, i don't think the t5 has (if someone has info on thirye t5 scripting please share) - see this sj7/yi2 comparison as the sj7 star has same chipset as t5 and very similar image quality:
