Hello everyone,

The latest update of the Z90 firmware, v9.0.0.28, is now available. Below explains what’s added or improved.

  1. Optimized 4G connection recognition to improve connection stability in cases where the device fails to detect 4G access.
  2. Added a restart confirmation prompt on the device screen when a 4G self-check error occurs.

Hi, I have some improvement ideas for you to include in your next update.
  • 1. Advanced Parking Cut-off & Remote Battery Monitoring

    • Time-Based Discharge Cut-off: Allow users to set a timer-based parking shutdown (e.g., automatically turn off after 6 or 12 hours) alongside the existing voltage cut-off thresholds.
    • Remote Battery Voltage Visibility: Display the current vehicle battery voltage level in real-time within the mobile app when accessing the dashcam through 4G.
    • Expandable Voltage History: Provide a historical graph or log of vehicle battery voltage over time within the app to help track power drain trends while parked. Now it looks like a 1-month squeezed-in 4 cm timeline.
  • 2. Location & Schedule-Based Recording Profiles

    • Implement customizable recording profiles based on time intervals or geofencing:
      • Home / Safe Location (Geofenced): Disable parking recording completely when parked at home (e.g., inside a private garage) to save battery and storage.
      • Public / On-the-Go Location: Automatically switch to active parking recording for a set duration (e.g., 6–7 hours) when parked away from home until the driver returns to the vehicle.
  • 3. Dedicated One-Touch "Emergency Trigger" Button

    • Configure the bottom-left physical button on the main unit as a dedicated One-Touch Emergency Recording Trigger:
      • Instant Action: A single press should immediately trigger a full emergency event recording (similar to a G-sensor lock) to capture cut-offs or illegal lane changes instantly.
      • No Voice Command Required: I don't want my voice to be recorded always. Avoid relying on voice triggers (e.g., saying "Take Photo") during high-stress traffic situations, providing a reliable tactile backup.
Thank you for considering these improvements for future firmware updates.

Hello!

Thank you for sharing these detailed suggestions. These are very practical ideas based on real-world usage, especially regarding parking power management, location-based recording, and a dedicated emergency recording button.

I’ll share your feedback with relevant teams for evaluation and future improvements.
