Wish that was the case but I am very careful inserting the card. Two cards went bad. I going to go with 2.0 firmware and see how this goes. Good to know that this is not a common occurrence.

Not able to take pics but if you hold card, the back has distinctive bumps (outlining the electronic chips) and the side has a slight dip. I am using a Sandisk 32 gb microSd with adapter. The microSd card is not warp only the adapter but the microSd was very difficult to remove from adapter...

Updated to 2.1 firmware and it fried my card. Pulled card out and notice it was warped from excessive heat. Installed another card and a few days later the same experience. Unsure want to do now.

Re: Blackvue DR500GW-HD What good is venting holes when parked with windows up in the sun. Instead of fixing the part problem they focused on the symptom. :shock: I am not impressed.

Re: Blackvue DR500GW-HD I would be very Leary of the BV quality. At first it seems to be well built but the sensors go bad from overheating on previous models. :evil:
