Hillbilly is right, I had exactly the same situation with changing from 1.008 Eng to 1.009 Rus. So I just upgraded my DR500 from 1.008E to 1.009E (using most sounds switched off anyway :D)

I can't even run new Blackvue Viewer 1.010 on my iMac - so I'm currently with v.1.02 for MacOS. But you can change bitrate via latest iPhone App as I did. :idea:

Can't say it better! In my point of view, English firmware should be free international firmware. One who needs native voice translations could buy from local distributors.

I installed this 1.007E over my 1.005E firmware. Tested it for two days. Now we have 4 settings for recording quality with highest settings at 10,000kbps. Current version of BlackVue Mac Viewer can't set those bitrates to SD card, but official BlackVue iOS App can do this. Also iOS App show...
