Ainhyzic ADC121

Ainhyzic ADC121

The Ainhyzic ADC121 is a Chinese single channel dash camera released in Oct 2019. This dash cam is similar to many other rectangular cameras with a suction mount selling in the $30 price range. Based on trademark ownership, the manufacturer of this camera appears to be the Shenzhen Anhongshixun Technology company. This dash cam is somewhat popular on Amazon and has numerous positive reviews.

The ADC121 is based on the JIELI AC5601A processor and SC2363 CMOS sensor. These are low end components and are somewhat common in this price range for dash cams.

Video Quality

The ADC121 records 1080p video at 30fps with an average bitrate of 10 Mbps. Like most cameras in this $30 price range, video quality during the day is below average and night quality is very poor. Also note that the videos have a fish eye effect with distortion on the sides. This is typically due to a low quality lens.

Features

The ADC121 is no frills camera that only comes with the basics. It has a 3″ screen, g-sensor and non-buffered parking mode. It does not come with GPS, WiFi or any other unique features. Audio error notifications are not available as well, only screen notifications which is not ideal.

The camera comes with a suction mount that allows it to swivel 360° to record interactions at your side windows (i.e. police traffic stop). The ADC121 is a small camera at 89 x 52 x 35mm but the hanging rectangular form factor is not the most discreet. The build quality is not the greatest as to be expected in this price range. The camera is lightweight it feels cheaply built. There are numerous complaints regarding the quality of the suction mount.

Support

Ainhyzic appears to be responsive to questions but beyond that, the camera has limited support. Ainhyzic does not have a website and we have not seen any firmware updates for this camera since it has launched. While the camera advertises a 2 year warranty, some users have had no support once the 30 day Amazon return window passes.

Known Problems

Random Shutdowns

The biggest complaint from owners are random shutdowns and reboots. There are no known solutions for this problem.

Should I Purchase?

The Ainhyzic ADC121 is cheap at $30 but is not a good deal for a dash cam. The video quality is poor, build quality is low and support is non-existent.

The only positives for this camera are the low $30 price tag and the ability to easily return to Amazon within 30 days if you are not satisfied. Overall, we suggest spending a bit more for a better dash cam.
