The Arifayz Q3 is a single channel dash cam released in Aug 2022. This dash cam is manufactured in China and is very popular on Amazon.
The Chinese manufacturer of this camera uses multiple brand names. They were initially called Peztio but were banned from Amazon for manipulating reviews. Previously they provided incentives to buyers in exchange for positive reviews. After the ban, they started selling their dash cams under a variety of different brand names:
- Galphi
- Navycrest
- Arifayz
Unfortunately the manufacturer does not provide the processor details for this camera but they indicate it is using a GalaxyCore CMOS sensor. The specific CMOS model is not shared but given the low price point of this camera, we suspect both the processor and CMOS are entry level.
Video Quality
The Arifayz Q3 records 1080p video at 30fps with an average bitrate of 10 Mbps. Video quality during the day is average and night quality is below average. There is also a graininess in the videos, particularly at night. In addition, the videos appear to have some stutter in them and the footage is not very smooth.
Features
The Arifayz Q3 comes with a 0.9″ LCD screen but this screen cannot be used to view videos or view settings. The screen is quite small and displays the following:
- current time
- whether the camera is recording
- whether the app is connected
- whether the microSD card is inserted
The Q3 comes with a g-sensor but does not have GPS. The dash cam comes with non-buffered and timelapse parking modes if you hardwire the dash cam to your vehicle (optional hardwire kit required). Note that numerous owners have complained that parking mode will drain the car battery if used overnight.
The Q3 is a very small camera with dimensions of 89 x 46 x 36mm. The small size allows for discreet mounting which is a big positive for this dash cam. You can see some photos of the camera with a pen as reference below.
The camera comes with an adhesive mount and cannot swivel to record interactions at the driver or passenger windows. Note that the build quality is not the greatest and the camera feels lightweight. On the positive side, the camera comes with audio error notifications.
Support
Arifayz appears to be responsive to questions but beyond that, the camera has limited support. We have not seen any firmware updates for this camera since it has launched. Arifayz claims to provide a 12 month warranty but some owners have indicated that Arifayz ignores any warranty requests beyond the 30 day Amazon return window.

Peztio App Issues
The Arifayz Q3 comes with 2.4 GHz WiFi and has apps for Android and iOS. Since virtually all interactions with the dash cam are done with the app, the quality of the app is critical. Unfortunately the app is poorly rated and there have been numerous issues with it.
Many users report connectivity issues with the app. Connecting the camera to the app has been an issue for some owners.
The second concern is privacy. The Peztio app requires permissions for location and also attempts to collect information from both Google and Facebook. Neither are required for the dash cam to function hence these are significant privacy concerns.
SD Card Slot Issues
Numerous owners have complained of the SD card not sitting properly in the card slot. This appears to be due to a damaged SD card slot. The camera will need to be returned if this is the case.

Should I Purchase
The Arifayz Q3 is a small, low priced dash cam with average video quality. The app, which is critical to use the camera, is very poor and has privacy concerns. Support is virtually non-existent. While the price is cheap, we recommend spending a little bit more for a better dash cam.
