The Biuone A20 is a Chinese dual channel dash cam released in September 2020. Unlike many of these generic Chinese dash cams that are made by obscure companies, Biuone is actually trademarked to an individual, Zhang Jingqiu. This appears to be a small operation and at the time of this review, the A20 is the only dash cam they sell.
Unfortunately Biuone does not provide specifics on the processor and CMOS sensors used for the A20. Given the low price point of this dual camera, we suspect entry level hardware is being used.
Video Quality
The front camera records 1080p video at 30fps with an average bitrate of 11 Mbps. Video quality for the front camera during the day is average and lacks details as can be seen by this screenshot below. The video also has a choppy nature to it.
At night, video quality is significantly worse. Video is very grainy and details are washed out.
The rear camera records 720p video at 30fps with an average bitrate of 6 Mbps. The quality of this camera manages to be significantly worse than the front camera and the resolution looks to be worse than 720p.
Features
The Biuone has a 3″ screen, g-sensor but does not have GPS. The camera does not come with WiFi or supporting smartphone apps. The A20 provides non-buffered parking mode if you hardwire the dash cam to your vehicle (optional hardwire kit required).
The suction mount provided allows the dash cam to swivel 360° to record interactions at your side windows (i.e. police traffic stop). The A20 is a medium sized camera at 90 x 50 x 13mm and is not the most discreet camera. The camera is lightweight and does not have the best build quality. Unfortunately the A20 does not come with audio error notifications. It does provide error notifications on the screen but these can easily be missed by the driver.
Support
Biuone does not have a website and provides very little support for this camera. There do not appear to be any firmware updates since the camera has launched. Biuone provides a 12 month warranty, which is standard for most dash cams.
Known Problems
Micro SD Card Springs Out
Numerous owners have indicated that the micro SD card does not remain in the slot. The card flies out or the spring is damaged and it does not stay in the camera.
Rear Camera Not Functioning
Another complaint that comes up numerous times is the rear camera does not function. Some owners have reported this out of the box, others after using it for a few months.

Should I Purchase
The Biuone A20 might look like a bargain for a dual-channel dash camera with 32GB micro SD card for only $50. However the video quality is not impressive especially at night and for the rear camera at any time. Build quality is not the best and reliability is hit or miss. Throw in limited support and this is a below average dash cam.
