Thanks to Gurkha9........ I turned off motion detection and the camera is consistently recording 317mb of video. I assume when the car was bouncing over pot holes the motion detection would start and stop the video recording. Maybe someone can confirm this. Thanks

I have to agree....... I am in Canada and it has been a cold winter so far. The camera gets stuck on the welcome screen on very cold mornings. All I do is slip out the power plug, wait for it to say goodbye and reconnect the power plug to recycle the unit and all is fine.

I appreciate the help and for now I am satisfied with the product since I have nothing to compare it to.

I recently purchase a dashcam from eBay and wish I had found this great site first before buying. The unit looks like a GS1000 with a blue screen and the firmware is 20120712. The video output is not too bad and I was wondering if this is a real unit and can the firmware be updated. Thanks for...
