0806 'versions'

I see references to version 1, 2, 3, and even 4. I just received an 0806 from Foxoffer - how can I tell what 'version' it is? I'm assuming 'version' is different from firmware revision, I've not tried updating it yet, but it seems to be working well so far. Have there been actual hardware changes made that the 'version' number refers to?

They're batch numbers rather than versions. Batch 3 is the current one which aims to have got rid of the internal wiring and focus quality control issues. Functionally, all 0806s are the same.

If the 'batch' number is the number that was on the screen protector, mine is a 2. Working well, so I'll leave well enough alone. Thanks for your help.

I don't think that number is relevant. Mine had nothing on the screen protectors.
