I'd recommend checking a couple of things.
A. That your firmware is on the latest version (currently R19.1).
1) Turn the Dash Cam on
2) Ensure it is not recording (by pressing the red circle if required)
3) Go into Settings (the button in the top left)
4) Go into Setup settings
5) Scroll across to ‘System Info’
6) Look at the Firmware number RXX.XX.
B. Your mobile phone is in the vehicle when you're driving.
C. You're in an area of phone and GPS signal.
D. Your phone is allowing the app to function in the background during use. If you'd like to let me know your phone make and model, I can send you the correct instructions.
