Hi there!
I got this GS5000 CarCam a few months ago from DX and it works great. Very good recording image and all.
The problem is that it won't start recording automatically when I start the car. It freezes in that initial screen asking me wether to open it, charge it or access an USB function... so I always have to set it to "open" in order to start recording.
I read something about it on this forum, saying that it will only work with the provided power cable. However, it came damaged and I can't use it.
Is there any other way to bypass that initial screen that shows up every time the usb cable is connected? I already tried to disassembly an USB cable and cut both the white and green data wires, leaving only the black and the red ones (+5V and ground), so it wouldn't detect the data connection and maybe avoid that screen, but nothing changed...
