I tried with old firmware:
20130924 GPS + External + Internal card card
20131026 GPS + External + Internal card card
unsuccessfully

My last update I used this name (NO1-firmware-SPI-TB15) worked to update.

For the custom firmware, i tried with all names on FAQ mini0801

I think that after the update, is not possible to install versions
prior or equal to the current.

I wait for new firmware

You can Flash whatever version you want.

Wow excellent, I guess e-prance/givoe were misinformed when the factory told them they couldn't fit any more menu options into the limited space. (glad they made MPH/KPH a choice!)

I don't like the startup sound, but I do want to hear a chime if it shuts down in the middle of driving. Have you found a way to take out the start-up sounds, but keep the shutdown sound active?

They actually did some filesystem changes in this release. There are less unused files and less audio files. For every audio event there's a blabla.pcm and a blabla_low.pcm for a coming soon "low audio" setting probably?

My cam no longer recognizes any firmware after 20131230

- I format SD card (fat32)
- Copy the bin.
- Rename
- I try with names:

firmware-NO1-SPI-OV2710FLIP-TB15-M8452.bin
firmware-NO1.bin
NO1-firmware-SPI-TB15.bin
firmware-NO1-SPIF-TB15.bin
firmware-NO1-SPI-OV2710FLIP-TB15-MA310.bin

- Turn on USB with cable / turn on

But do not work = (

You could use a burning cable to "force" it.

For normal flashing you should use the filename "firmware-NO1-SPIF-TB15.bin" (Check if your Computer hides file extensions) and copy it to the root of the SD-Card.
Then start the Dashcam without any connection and it should ask you to update.

My Macbook hides some files after formating

I used the command:

- defaults write com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles TRUE

- Killall Finder

I deleted some hidden files, this files appear even after formatting.


Put the .bin and WORKEDDD xD

just got the 0801 and liking it so far, been pointed toward this excellent thread to get a custom picture on startup/shutdown. I haven't seen any Audi photo firmwares, so would you be able to do one for me?
