Odd discoveries- G1WH (motion sensor/screen protect and auto-power off)

Hi all, just received my G1WH and have some questions.

1) I want my motion sensor to be on perpetually after I turn off my car. I would assume if I put the auto-power off to 10min, within that 10min if motion is detected, it will turn on.

However, I noticed when I turn on motion sensor, the unit will NOT auto-record at startup. Also, it will NOT screen protect either (I set 3min).

Is my only solution to turn off motion sensor then? I do prefer to have the screen turn off while I'm driving and the motion sensor will be useless 10min after power-off anyways.

2) Auto-power off issue is simply just that. It isn't working!! I basically want my camera to remain on for 3/5/10 amount of minutes but after I unplug my charging cable, the camera always turns off about 10 seconds after no matter what setting I have.

Can someone offer me a solution?

^ I believe OP wants to use Motion Detection.

I think the way to auto power off works is, if it is unplugged/or maybe plugged in but not recording and sits idle for x amount of time it will power off.
