Ok, I lied. My order didnt go through properly so I'm gonna order from eBay.

Now my question is, why does the red wire have that clip thing attached to it? When I hard wire using an add-a-circuit, do I have to splice off that attachment and then put the red wire into the add-a-circuit? Then wrap the black negative lead on to some bolt?

Do I have my positives and negatives mixed up or something?

Probably you've already placed your order, but if not, I'd strongly consider to order normal USB car charger,and separate mini usb wire. Should the charger broke, you can easily replace it without replacing the cable (which requires more job to replace).

I may try this if my method eventually fails. 15 ft is plenty. A lot of wiring though

I linked items that'll do same thing... And no, you don't need to use the cig lighter in your arm rest... you'll get the power from fuse box
