Replacement screen for G1W

Hi all,

This seems like a bit of a long shot.

Unfortunately whilst replacing the battery on my G1W, I partially cut the ribbon cable connecting the screen to the circuit board, and now the backlight has gone out. I was hoping someone on here may know a component number for the screen so I could get a replacement. Like I say, a bit of a long shot and google hasn't turned up anything so far but I would assume it is some generic LCD screen.

Luckily the battery seems to be working and saving the settings unlike the last one - a trade-off I can live with is the lack of the screen.

Failing that does anyone have an email for the manufacturer of the genuine G1W so that I can try and get in touch with them?

I am going to guess a replacement screen will be about half the price of a new G1W, plus shipping.
I don't know if the cheaper fakes have the same screen of not. Would be something nice to know.

The video out can be used for menu functions then disconnected after you set all options. You then have a functioning dashcam less screen.
In fact, you could run the video out to a bigger screen mounted someplace else.

Time for a new cam, and use the broken one for experiments
