Several brands :)
As with the N4S, the bigger brother, the N4 Pro S, will also be released in the near future.
While we have no official specs yet, it can be assumed that at least the rear camera will be upgraded to 2.7k.
This will fix the biggest "flaw" of the N4 Pro.
The Starvis 2 IMX675 will be a nice upgrade for the rear camera.
As seen in the screenshot below, the N4 Pro S will also be compatible with the LT01.

The body of the N4 Pro S will be slightly bigger than the N4 Pro:
  • N4S: 117.2 × 56.6 × 44.5 mm
  • N4 Pro: 123.9 × 58.1 × 44 mm
  • N4 Pro S: 131.9 × 58.5 × 44 mm
Assumed specs:
  • 3-channel HDR Clear Recording
  • STARVIS 2 IMX675 IMX 678 + IMX662 + IMX675
  • PlatePix™ Technology
  • Compatible with LTE Module
  • 10s Pre-Recording Buffered Motion Detection
  • 5GHz WiFi & Free App
  • Smart Voice Control
  • 24/7 Parking Mode
  • Built In Dual-Sys. GPS Logger

If taking a closer look at the picture from within the Vantrue app, the mount will also be able to slide off the mount like the N2X or N4S.

These are all the information I am aware of.
It can't be long until we get official information.

look forward to seeing some reviews
It will for sure be an interesting unit and I have high expectations for it.
Since the release is next month, it can't be too long until we see something.

Since the S1 Pro Max appears (not confirmed for sure) a 4K rear sensor (guessing imx678 barrel type), then the N4 Pro S could also get a 4k rear

Would make total sense though if it's the flagship solution for Vantrue

That would be very nice to see.
With the T800 also having 2x 4k + Interior, this should easily be possible.

I'm hoping that they throw everything they have in it as their leading product.

I would presume it would be easy as in the past these RC-rear camera units appear to be ODM so a few manufacturers share the same part for their dashcams. Imagine it would be straightforward if this is the case with these units off the shelf too

Let's hope they throw everything into it to show off their best , as you say. Looking forward to seeing what they can bring to the table

Looks like we will have to wait for the official release to see which version and resolution of rear camera is being used.
As long as the quality is decent it won't matter if it's an in house rear cam or ODM part.

Hoping for the best!

Here’s a listing on Newegg:

“Vantrue N4 Pro S 4K 3 Channel Dash Cam, STARVIS 2 IMX678 x PlatePix x HDR Night Vision, 4K+1080P+1440P Front Inside and Rear Dash Camera, IP67 Waterproof Rear Camera, 24H Parking Mode, Support 1TB”
I'm confused as anything. If the S1 Pro Max is getting the 4k IP67 rear camera, then why is the N4 Pro S only getting 1440p, when the Nexus 4 Pro S is supposed to be Vantrue's flagship...

It definitely would have been a nice choice to have 4k in the rear.
