Frankly, I don't think 1C charging by itself is a big deal for LFP cells , except when combined with heat, cold, and vibration, all of which contribute to a shorter battery life.
But even if all of that cuts the total number of full cycles in half (say, from 2000 to 1000) before the capacity drops to 80%, these batteries should still last at least 3 years with 100% cycling every single day!
I think we can realistically expect about 4-5 years with average usage.
 
Hopefully Saturday. I have recorded a lot of it already. But some people are making me second guess that I have not done enough. So I will see what more I can do before Saturday.

I was trying to acknowledge that battery testing takes A LOT of time and I thought that collectively we could let SDS do his testing without taking requests that might require restarting the tests just to capture more data.

Most of the damage is done at maximum voltage, charging the last 1% if the voltage is kept high until the end. It doesn't make much sense to reduce the lifespan from maybe 4000 cycles to 1000 cycles, just to get the last 1% to charge very quickly. So it is possible that some of these powerbanks are charging at maximum to 100%, and others slow down little after 90%, and maybe others are using LIPO chargers and slow down a lot after 80%, we don't know without some data. LiFePO4 batteries are being sold rated at over 10,000 cycles when treated well, I'm not sure that we should expect only 1000 cycles on a modern powerbank?

If the only data we have is that it takes 60 minutes for a 100% charge, we don't know if powerbank actually gets to 95% in 40 minutes, or gets to 95% in 57 minutes. I'm not very interested in the last 5%, the one that reaches 95% in 40 minutes is a much more useful powerbank for someone who makes two 20 minute journeys per day, they get 99% charge from the slow charging powerbank while the faster charging powerbank would only get to 66% charge! We need to know how these things actually behave.

I do feel possibly having a time lapse of seeing how quick they charge may be a good idea. I will see if we can add that in.
A real time charging video would definitely be boring, even the resulting graph is boring to a lot of people!

A 5 second charging timelapse would show 5x30 = 150 datapoints for those that are interested, more than enough, and wouldn't be too boring for anyone. Who knows what interesting information might be seen in it by someone, maybe nothing, but you never know, at least the information is available for people to analyse if they want.

Of course it is up to you what you put in your videos, and for others to make suggestions and requests. Nothing wrong with requests and suggestions, and nothing wrong with you leaving them out!

Charge rates are important for dashcam powerbanks though, many people have short commutes to work and need a fast charging one, others drive all day and would prefer a longer life powerbank.

No issue but please let SDS fend for themselves. They will only do what they deem to be necessary. We don't need forum police to tell people what to request or what not to request

This is expected.
For a full charge in 40-45 minutes, the current should be about 50%-33% higher, i.e. 1.5C-1.33C (assuming a linear relationship and the battery actually fully charges in 1 hour).

I guess that these maximum current values on power supplies start from the beginning of charging and... the question is, do they remain virtually constant until the end? Or does the current decrease towards the end?

If it does, then we need to know the time when the current starts to decrease, and the corresponding voltage at the battery output for a dashcam.
Also, the final current just before the end of the test and the corresponding output voltage, and of course the test duration.

You will get a time lapse video showing in 100X time lapse speed.

The current stayed very consistent the whole way and you will be able to see that in the time lapse video.

Based on the above, I think we already have the answer - It is a single stage "forced" charging method, not the best option for battery longevity, but acceptable for LFP chemistry.

Oh yeah, this pair is different/better! With two-stage charging that tapers off towards the end.
And the 70mai battery (left) initially charges at over 1C - which is exactly what @Nigel wanted to see, so that charging would go faster in the first 40 minutes.
In addition, 70mai has a visible soft start.
