Awesome news! I haven't had the opportunity to install the new firmware yet - on my list for the weekend.

Interesting. Reduced sensitivity of the g-sensor for the N4PS and the S1PM would also be welcome. I have both set to "1" (least sensitive) and they still trip more than I'd like them to. I don't want to turn them off, though...

Version: N4PS_VT-EEI121

1. Important Update: Optimized the LTE module activation process and improved LTE connection stability.

2. Optimized the display position of watermark elements (coordinates and speed) at certain resolutions.

3. Fixed an issue where, after the app interrupted parking mode and then exited, the device would not re-enter parking monitoring.

4. Corrected the Japanese translation for parking mode enter/exit.

Ya just noticed that, too. I was getting blurry rear video, but think the EEI121 fixes that issue. I'll know more today. Busy rewiring my vehicle as I decided the N5S 4 Channel (even though older and less resolution) gives me the best possible 360 view. The N5S wiring is not compatible with other series cameras. Therefore, I am keeping the wiring for the N4S Pro, etc for future testing of Vantrue products, but removed the unit from my vehicle now. However, I needed to install the N5S so I didn't have wires running all around my vehicle.

The N5S wiring is not compatible with other series cameras.

EDITED for corrections:

N4S/N4 Pro S, N5S, and S1PM all use DIFFERENT rear camera USB cables that feature different physical construction, so the rear wiring is not compatible across cameras. Don’t mix them up.

-The thinnest wire goes to the N4S and N4 Pro S cameras. These cameras share the very same 2.5k rear camera.
-Next thickest is the rear USB cable for the S1PM camera. It uses a 4k rear camera, so it needs more EMI shielding to preserve the higher data rate.
-The thickest rear USB cable belongs to the N5S camera. It has a dual rear camera (2.5K rear external + 1K rear cabin), so there are TWO data streams that travel to the main camera. Each data stream requires its own pair of signal wires.

Elsewhere, people have made the claim that "all USB-C cables are the same." This is demonstrably not correct.

N4S/N4 Pro S, N5S, and S1PM all use different rear camera USB wires, so the rear wiring is not compatible across cameras unless you wire things with the cable that came with the S1PM camera.

The N4S and N4 Pro S have the smallest data stream to the main cameras. These cameras share the very same 2.5k rear camera.
The N5S has a dual rear camera (2.5K rear external + 1K rear cabin), so there are TWO data streams that travel to the main camera.
The S1 Pro Max has a 4k rear camera, so it has the highest data rate that needs to travel to the front camera.

The cable for each of these cameras features a DIFFERENT physical construction. At a minimum, the level and quality of shielding increases with each camera. There is a measurable difference in cable diameter for each of these cables. The N4S/N4 Pro S has the least amount of shielding (thinnest diameter), the S1PM features the greatest amount of shielding (thickest diameter). Not sure if wire gauges differ, I haven't cut these cables to make a complete physical inspection.

If you run wires for the N4S, you are likely to run into issues at some point if you subsequently use that same cable with the N5S or the S1PM cameras. The video feed has greater potential for corruption.
If you run the rear USB cable that came with the S1PM camera, it should work fine for all other cameras (so far).

Elsewhere, people have made the claim that "all USB-C cables are the same." This is demonstrably not correct.

The cabling on the N4 Pro S is incompatible with N5S. The N4 Pro S cabling will only provide feed for 3 of the 4 channels. I have the N4 Pro S wiring in place for any future testing outside of the S1 Pro Max. That's in another vehicle.

1. Optimized rear camera preview clarity in the app.

2. Fixed an issue where the infrared light setting in the app did not take effect.

3. Improved on-screen messages for Wi-Fi and LTE connection.

4. Adjusted default time formats for Czech and Turkish languages.

5. Fixed an issue where the dash cam failed to reconnect to the app after canceling a video connection in the Message Center.

6. Optimized the display position of the rear camera watermark.

7. Fixed lag issues when switching resolutions in Japanese.

8. Updated resolution display from “2160P” to “4K.”

9. Fixed an issue where the main unit did not report GPS information to the app.

+1 on issue #1. Something I submitted.

The list of Vantrue cameras that maintain the original file timestamp when copying from the SD card to your computer is growing! It started with the N5S and now includes the N4 Pro S as well. I haven't yet checked to see if the new E1 Pro firmware does this as well. I suspect this update will propagate through all of the models as firmware revisions roll out.

EDIT: the preservation of timestamps now includes the S1 Pro Max as well! Next up for testing is the E1 Pro…
