Black tape that doesn't leave residue?

Actually, you can leave some space around the "sticker" and have the Plasti-Dip overlap on the camera body. Once dry, simply get a blade and lightly cut around it, and the Plasti-Dip that is not on the sticker will peel off.

Black tape that doesn't leave residue?

I did not Plasti-Dipped the whole thing, only the lil embossed sticker.

Black tape that doesn't leave residue?

I used Plasti-Dip on mine and it gives out the exact same feel as the rest on the cam and can easily be removed if need be. Plasti-Dip is awesome.

    Best Camera with parking feature

Was the cam in parking mode at 0.3 amps? Anyways, you are mostly right as the 0.12 must be with everything disabled. But still, at 0.3 amps, a car battery can go for more than a day.

ITB-100HD - Alternative to Uninterrupted Power Cable?

Actually, I know exactly how a car electrical system works and where to tap. But my point is that when the starter is cranking, multiple cars batteries cannot provide enough voltage to "keep" the cam working without rebooting. I have a boost gauge in my car wired to a "hot in run and start" fuse...

ITB-100HD - Alternative to Uninterrupted Power Cable?

Does the Power Magic pro actually prevent the cam from rebooting when you start the car? This could be another reason for an UPC (Actually, the only reason that would make me buy one since I'm skilled enough to hardwire the cam myself).

Hands on: the Itronics ITB-250HD wireless dashcam

viewtopic.php?f=5&t=136&p=897&hilit=linux#p897 It runs MontaVista Embedded Linux. If you have a linux distro running, you can un-gzip the firmware .bin then un-tar it and you will see a lot of stuff (you can also do this using 7-zip under Windows). But most of the files are compiled linux...

They are actually running Linux and couple interesting stuff can be found in the .bin (which is actually a gzip + tar file.)

Hands on: the Itronics ITB-250HD wireless dashcam

Oh, found in the user manual: By default, the Wi-Fi SD card’s wireless network signal will automatically broadcast in Direct Share mode once the camera is powered on. To connect to the Wi-Fi SD wireless signal on your mobile device, go to step 4. So it might work... :) Who want's to try it...

Hands on: the Itronics ITB-250HD wireless dashcam

Taken on Amazon.com After inserting the card, the first thing I had to do was change my camera's browse folder from the default (DCM100 or whatever) to "All" so that it would see the 3 virtual files on the card that are used to activate the different modes or restore defaults. To turn on the...

As far as I know, the Eye-Fi cards were not compatible with dash cam because the were only looking in the DCIM folder of the SD card... But maybe these ones are different. Would be a nice addition if they work.

    Parking mode wiring without UPC

Since I'm using my car pretty much every day and when I'm not using it, it's sitting in the garage, I feel that a discharge prevention unit is not required nor wanted (50$). Here's what I will do to have parking mode enabled. It's real simple, it only take an SPDT on-on switch and a 12v socket...

    Itronics ITB-100HD vs. Itronics ITB-250HD

So it's not the same board and looks like the 250 has 2 uarts (one missing the connector) vs only one for the 100. Sad, I would've like to retrofit wifi into my 100HD!
