Re: Got a CR-500HD with silver ring (not black).Should I ret They didn't specify color but the image on Amazon is silver. The aesthetics don't bother me at all...I just want to make sure the silver one is of the same quality.

I ordered from a Korean company on Amazon and got the version with the silver ring (which I seem to recall indicates it's an older or non-US version). Is this model worse in any non-aesthetic way? Will it create a problem for me in the U.S.? Thanks.

By inline, do you mean right behind the mirror (so that the camera is mostly obstructed from the driver's view by the camera)?

I just ordered a CR-500HD and my biggest hesitation related to the blinking LEDs, which I think could be annoying during night driving. I was planning to simply put black tape over them if I do find them annoying...but I'd rather find a more elegant solution if possible. Any suggestions?
