If I recall correctly (it's been a while since I was looking into this camera), the 3rd comes with an extra bracket/clip that can be attached to your pants when/if not using it as a dashcam. Cannot explain the huge diff in price between 2nd and 3rd though, but I would go for the 2nd if you don't...
