G1W-H use mp4 format instead of mov?

having an issue getting my G1W-H to work with an android 4.4.4 HU. i've gone over setting multiple times and verified with DailyRoads Voyager that they are correct. the only thing that seems out of place is the save files use .mov format, which is not natively supported by android. is there any way to change the output format to mp4?

not seeing any option to change output format in the menu.

or has anyone successfully setup a G1W-H with an android HU?

those are not the type of player you need, VLC will play the files, as will MX player

ahhh, i'm looking for a DVR, not just a player. want to use the cam as just a cam, not a recorder.

I have a google interface in my truck already
