Mazda TS2 09
Hi all hope you can reassure me and give some practical advice.
I just need to connect my wires RED & YELLOW for my other half's dashcam.
I tried a piggy back fuse tap for the RED wire, but the micro fuse tap is too tight and I risk breaking something, the internal fuse box is on the passenger side, all these seem to be accessory and only come on when the key is turned.
Other than "micro piggy back fuse tap" where do people normally connect on a car?
Steering column?
Foot well, passenger or drivers side?
Other?
My Dad has put the frighteners on me, he says if I can easily break the computer picking the wrong cable to tap, assuming it is accessory or always powered, is he right? How do I avoid this if so?
I can only multimeter test the cables with connectors on the end, but there are loads of other cables in the foot well, passenger side which are bundled together, but have a nice thickness.
Do you have any tricks here?
I would really like some advice on which location is best to find a suitable tapping point for this car.
Thanks all, Scib
