I need 25 dash cam units for a film and am looking for a camera with a manual exposure setting or auto-exposure lock. I can't have exposure fluctuating wildly as the video stream is captured.
I am about to order GoPro (as I have done for previous projects) but wanted first to take a pulse to see if there are any other solutions available today.
A friend in the industry said Yi might be working on an update to enable AEL (auto exposure lock) on their older 4k model, but I have yet to see this.
This should be a very easy setting to include or add, one that many other cinematographers would like to see as well.
