New A118C2 date and tom problems

Hello,

I recently purchased a Viofo A118C2. Sometimes the date and time resets to 1/1/2016. If I turn the camera on/off after I set the correct time, the settings are saved. This seems to happen overnight. GPS is off also. The other settings are saved (e.g loop time, sensitivity and timezone), only date and time cause problems.
Usually I remove the sdcard when I go in house, can this cause the problem?

Another thing I noticed, when I stop the engine the camera turns off instantly, no splash screen or blinking led. Is this normal ?

The appearance of instantly turning off is normal as long as the last file isn't corrupted. But if it's losing time date then the little rtc battery inside (looks like a watch battery) may be bad. If the cam isn't that old you should contact the seller.

if it's losing date and time overnight that's an RTC problem, talk to the seller
