Had same issue swapped to a different firmware and that fixed it. I don't have my cam on me so i can't give you number but i got the firmware somewhere in this forums a month or 2 ago.

It does? I am a new g1w-c owner i have it turned on becuase my power ports are on 24/7 and i didt want 23 hours a day of parking lot recording wearing out my card faster. I only put a 8 gig card in it.
