Not a need per se. More just a convenience thing. Interestingly, it works just fine on my Mac laptop as well, so no worries I guess. Very odd though.

Didn't see anything about this in previous posts, so I'll just ask. I have what appears to be a legit DVR-027, but when I connect it to my windows PC it is not recognized. Is this a computer problem? Common? Any ideas? Thanks. -Andrew
