Best Camera for $150-270 with GPS?

Here is a tip. You get what you pay for in life. $150 or less is take your chances. The higher price it goes is often higher for a reason. Mainly due to better parts. Ambarella make the best chips for cams. The old A2 now dated was out a fair while ago now. Its night performance is mainly...

Search summary for Ambarella A2 and A5 powered dash cams

Stancom has the Ultra Pro out with the A7L which is the next model up and they have a ultra hd one coming with the a9. Where will it all end in up. Cams at 1080p now are very good. The one I have works wonderfully well. The colours on the pro stancom one is the best I've seen out of any cam...

Search summary for Ambarella A2 and A5 powered dash cams

Yes. Leant that lesson the hard way. The fake ones will last years but won't do a good recording or getting a gps signal may never work. Some use lessor processing chips which is why the quality is so poor. IE GS1000's. Came to the conclusion like many others that the gs1000's were ok in their...

Search summary for Ambarella A2 and A5 powered dash cams

The Ambarella A5 is far more powerful than the Ambarella A2. Does better frames per second and far better at night. I have bought both Ambarella A2 and A5. Neither of them get hot at all so I am not sure why you say the A5 gets hot. Maybe fake ones do but the real mckoy ones are fine.

Where did you mount the camera? Post your pictures

Micro SD - class 2 vs class 10

Yes and you will notice this straight away. If you are not sure buy a 4Gb card and do some recording. Then when that records without dropping frames then you can go buy a larger card. Many cams or video cameras only support up to 32gb. Class 10 cards go up to 128gb which cost a fair bit. 64Gb...

Micro SD - class 2 vs class 10

Do you own a class 4 or 6 card. I made the mistake of buying these at officeworks to save a bit of money. That was my first mistake. These can't do 1080p at all well where the class 10 can. Same goes with my video camera. I'll only use class 10 cards due to frames being dropped by class 4 or 6...

Amberalla a5 dash cam which is great for day and night

Been viewing these pages for a while and joined this morning. I bought a stancom one but from another store. Seems a few selling them in the West. I've set mine to 60 fps in 720p. Only one problem none of my editing video suites support 60fps:( I've been using mine at the car club where we have...

Micro SD - class 2 vs class 10

Not sure if I've seen a class 2 card. Heard of class 4, 6 and class 10. Class 4 or 6 drops to many frames where class 10 doesn't.
