Can you think of any new Features that would / could be useful?

Dash cams with multiple lens, one lens dedicated to reading license plates as suggested in these recent videos (telephoto lens):

    Q800 Feature Request

I prefer the compartment that hides the wire connections on the F770 front camera. It makes the installation look a lot more cleaner and professional in my opinion. It also serves as a deterrent to any potential thieves planning on stealing this dash cam, since it makes it that more tricky to...

Thinkware announced QA100 (an upgrade to F800 Pro) at SEMA 2018

A little searching on Google for Q800 has revealed the following: * Q800 Pro user manual (with some specifications on the camera) * Other cameras in the pipeline due for release soon * Same news as above different link Thinkware have been busy by the looks of it. I would love to see their 4...

Thinkware announced QA100 (an upgrade to F800 Pro) at SEMA 2018

If Thinkware are still developing this model, I really wish they bring back the compartment for hiding the connection wires on the side of the unit, as it were on the F770 model. It doesn't seem very neat and tidy with the wires sticking out from the side as it is on the F800 model!

Considering Thinkware F800- Why did you choose this camera?

I have the F770, the predecessor to the F800. Couldn't see much difference between the two to justify the upgrade to the F800 when it came out, but I can tell you that I love the time-lapse parking mode feature on the F770 nevertheless. It was the prime reason for my purchase of it when it came...

What Dashcam Do You Use and Why?

I currently have my first and only dash cam by Thinkware; The F770 dual camera model and Cellink B battery. I chose this camera system (or this setup) mainly because of its parking mode feature. I've never had any incidents or accidents whilst driving (not whilst having my cameras anyway). Most...

    Keeping windscreen clear

I'm not sure if there has been a topic on this subject, or if it has been answered before. I have time-lapse parking mode enabled on my camera and use it pretty much as CCTV due to having many hit and run type incidents in the past whilst parked. I've always had this query in my head since...

    What is the best viewer?

I suppose so, but the map detail is not so important to me, never looked at it; I pretty much know the locations of my drive anyway.

    What is the best viewer?

I've rarely ever used Thinkware's proprietary player, it is functionally limited. I have always used VLC player for media playback and use it regularly for dash cam video playback. I believe VLC can be used on iMacs too?

    anyone update to 1.00.08 yet?

Updated it only a few days ago. Haven't noticed anything different. Unofficial 128 GB Samsung SD card, which I have been using since camera purchase, is still working fine (was slightly worried before updating firmware, but everything works fine as before).

Thinkware Dashcam Viewer for PC or MAC - What extra features?

Frame by frame button (like the feature on VLC player) would be very handy and a suggestion I made too. I would also like for the player to have an ability to either slow down the playback speed, or to automatically identify and play the time-lapse videos at the 'per-second' speed (so that it...

dash cam to use when the car is parked

If CCTV or IP cameras are not possible I would recommend dash cameras which have time lapse parking mode, like the Thinkware F770 / F800 as well as Cellink B batteries. If your budget can stretch it, then I would also recommend a 4 channel set up rather than 2 channel one (2 sets of dual channel...

    Dashcam Viewer Questions

I've never used a Mac computer before so I can't comment on that, but I thought VLC was cross-platform compatible. Looking at https://www.videolan.org/vlc/#download there appears to be a download option for for Mac systems. You could give that a try. Should have mentioned, I'm not in any way...

List of problems & issues with the RC500S

Apologies, if this isn't the correct thread or if this question has been answered elsewhere (I can't seem to find any info regarding my query). Does this DOD RC500 camera have the ability to record continuously when the car is parked, like as in the time-lapse parking mode feature on Thinkware...

    Dashcam Viewer Questions

I frequently use VLC player, rather than the Thinkware player. The good thing about VLC is that it allows you to go through frame-by-frame (especially useful if you record in time-lapse parking mode). This is something that the Thinkware player does not do.

Updated UK Thinkware Discount Code (02/06/2017)

Hi Maddog1974, I need a replacement mount pad (3m VHB pad) for the F770 mount. Looking at your site it costs £4.99, no issues with this. But the postage of this small item costs £5.99 (ouch!) Surely, the postage can't be any more than a £1.00 / £1.50 to post such a small lightweight item...

F770 Incorrect Voltage Reading OR need Cellink-B

Chop it is then. Or, to get the additional hard wire wiring harnesses from blackboxmycar.

F770 Incorrect Voltage Reading OR need Cellink-B

Check this one out: If the main image is to be correct then you should get all the relevant accessories for the hard wire kit (probably best to confirm with the seller first). Alternatively, this is where I bought my battery from: http://car-dvr.co.uk/cellink_b/powerbank/cellink_b.html Check...

F770 Incorrect Voltage Reading OR need Cellink-B

I'm pretty sure the Cellink B battery package comes with the option of either cigarette adaptor input and the add-a-fuse (direct fuse box connection) connector hard wire kit. My one did, anyway. Same for the outputs from Cellink B (either hard wire to the dash cam or cigarette adaptor output)...
