I’ve briefly looked into this option that am considering . Some of the negative reviews on Amazon for the OBD2 power adaptor claim that even in the off position it drains battery and causes flat battery. Is the vehicle dependent perhaps ? I ask because I know if I plug in my Carista obd2 error...

I just tested mine it’s only on when switched. The 12v cigar socket.

Thanks for the feedback. What concerns me is 4K recording and the sunlight/ heat in my region. I used an A119 for the last 5 or so years and it was solid.

I’m currently short listing some cams and have a question. Would it be a waste of money to purchase the A129 if only using it in 1080p mode as compared to just buying the A119 mark 3 which I believe goes up to 1440p? Cheers

If not using parking mode. Doesn’t the camera only power on when vehicle is in accessories or on position? And then turn off when vehicle is turned off? I was under the impression most of not all cigar 12v outlets operated this way.
