I have this exact problem... the K1S stops recording (there is a quiet chime when that happens) and then says "recording started" every few minutes sometimes... with a 10 or so second gap. I've tried sandisk Ultra brands and lexar.. 32 and 64.. all have this same problem. If it is an sd card...

I felt a lucky I never experienced this overheating with the K1S, and then last week the K1S started getting very hot, and appeared to be rebooting over and over. Sort of disappointed now.

Personally I wouldnt use the LCD on the K1S to do anything other than confirming the cameras are aimed optimally, and for configuration changes. If you need to seriously need to view the video, use a PC/Mac.

Dang, I had no idea of these cut off voltages and their impact. I have the Fine Vu power kit, but may invest in a better one after seeing this. Especially if I move to a cold climate where the temps get below freezing.
