Hi, new to this forum. Just received an 0806 dashcam. Did a quick hookup to see if it worked before hardwiring. Seemed fine, got into menus ok. Then fitted 32gb card, but after I did this, although the blue & red lights lit up, the screen refused to come on & could not access menu. Tried a reset by holding on/off button for a while. Still nothing. Removed card & tried again. Lights on, no screen until a reset , then screen worked.
Re-tried card & it did not work again. I think the camera must have a fault. What do you guys think. Advice appreciated.

Just a long shot - try the other memory card slot.
Is the memory card clicking into place? And springing out when you push it again? You may need to push it in further than you think.

Think I have figured it out. I had set the menu to read card "B" as it seemed an easier place to remove the card. I have just changed the menu to "Auto" & replaced the card. It started up first go, also allowed me to get into the menus & did a test recording, which seems ok. Hopefully that is it. Will leave it for a while then try again before hardwiring.
Thanks for your suggestions

Tried it again, card in slot "B" nothing worked. Reset again then put card in slot "A" & it worked, so it looks as though if you only have one card it has to go in slot "A" even if you select auto or slot B in the menu
