12v > 5v power converter?

Are those cheap converters on ebay any good?
I like this one
because it has the shortest usb line and just right angle connector,
i also like the price
Did anyone experience any problems with it, does anyone even use it?

I am only worried about tiny size, why are others so much bigger, for example this one


Is there a topic/thread with converter discussions?

The bigger ones generally dissipate heat better

i hope it wont fry inside the roof in the sun, maybe i could disassemble it and stick some heatsinks it will be better then those expensive ones

Am I correct in thinking that adapters that are UL or more likely CE rated with the FCC would be a better quality part compared to those without the ratings?
