You could always unscrew the tip of the USB adapter (they generally unscrew as they contain a fuse) and connect your fuse tap and earth wire to the appropriate wires in the adapter just to get you going until your replacement arrives from China(you wont need the fuse as the fuse tap has one). If done carefully you can always re-assemble the adapter when needed.
