Hello,
I just received another 0803 and it was shipped with 20140620 Firmware..
Sharing is caring.. so I extracted it from the device, flashed it on my other 0803s to make sure that it works and uploaded it to my page. http://dc.p-mc.eu/0803/firmware

Release date: 2014-06-20
Version: 1.2
Memory: External only
GPS: yes
Changelog: unknown/not checked the known bugs, yet

Important: Default language is German! If you don't understand German you can switch to English. Just enter the menu and search for "Sprache" and select English.

Where did you get this 0803 from ?
 
German reseller, can't tell you the name unfortunately :S

What kind of improvements are on this FW compare to previous versions ?
 
Startup bug still no fixed :(

there may be none, different customer has a request for different settings (like German default) and it gets a new version number, just reflects the date they did the work, not necessarily any bugfixes or changes as such
 
The difference is that this one is V1.2 while most other releases are V1.0
No idea what that means

when I was looking at this firmware a few months ago the engineers had a V1, V2, V3 designation on the firmwares for different image quality adjustments we were looking at, at the time the V2 firmware was better as the over sharpening had been reduced, may or may not be related but that's how the naming convention was during the betas up until a few days before release when I stopped looking at the product
 
Is the mute bug fixed in this issue? has an option been added to diasble startup sounds?

This FW make logs as dashcam crashed.
