Hey All...
Been running the A119S for over a year now, very happy so far. Faultless performance on Samsung 128GB SD's.

Down to business, I've upgraded firmware to the latest and bought 2 x 256GB Samsung U3 SD's which came pre-formatted in FAT32. Filled one card with video and swapped out for the 2nd and filled that. On PC using DashCam Viewer and on VLC player, about half of the files on BOTH cards are corrupt :(. On both, the 1st 1/4 or so are good, then roughly half are bad, then the last 1/4 or so are good. All I can think to do is re-format; any suggestions before I do that?

where did you buy the cards from, 256GB cards don't come preformatted FAT32, could be a sign of fake cards, format and test with h2testw, post the results back here if you don't know what they mean

Same opinion

Hmmm, Ok.... admittedly they were from eBay but seller has good FB. I've used h2testw before but it was a very long time ago, forgot it even existed.
When I get some time I'll do the testing and post back here. You've just jolted my memory, come to think of it; I remember having to download a standalone program (Guiformat) to format my 128's to FAT32 as Win10 doesn't have the option.

cards don't need to be formatted FAT32 for the purpose of testing them, just do a quick format on your PC and then run h2testw

Ok, the test is taking forever, on one card it is about 85% checked and has been going for a full 24 hours. Dialogue so far is as follows:

"The media is likely to be defective.
46.5 GByte OK (97563136 sectors)
133.9 GByte DATA LOST (280925696 sectors)
Details:0 KByte overwritten (0 sectors)
0 KByte slightly changed (< 8 bit/sector, 0 sectors)
133.9 GByte corrupted (280925696 sectors)
0 KByte aliased memory (0 sectors)
First error at offset: 0x0000000000000008
Expected: 0x0000000000000011
Found: 0x0000000000000000
H2testw version 1.3"

I'll let it continue to end so I have info to send to the eBay seller. Probably do the 2nd card as well.
