I have tested with different Sandisk U1 cards (I have another A119 V3 and it records fine on these cards). It tries to record after like 1min, 2 min, 4 min or random periods in between (it is set to 5min). The recording sometimes takes 2 seconds to a minute and the footage during save is completely lost. Moreover, the last file is almost always corrupt, but not always. I opened it up, capacitors look normal, no bulging or rotting. Should I still try replacing them? Does the tiny battery have to do anything with this? If so, is it sold seperately or should I bother replacing it? Thanks.
Btw this is a rather old A119 V1 which I got used.

If the last video is always corrupt, then we can confirm that the supercapacitor is damaged. But your situation is a little different. Are there beeps when it is on? The tiny battery you mentioned is for keeping camera settings.

There are no beeps when filming or file recording. There is regular starting sound when it starts.

Should I try install V2 or V3 firmware? Will it work if maybe I'm able to choose 1min intervals?

Thanks. It seems to be fixed for now. One more question: I could not source a 4m usb cable for using this at the rear (station wagon). I had to use a 1,5m extension and a 3m USB3 cable. The camera restarts again and again with this setup, it doesn't work. How can I fix this without using a 4m one piece cable?
