Hi All,

I've seen a few posts about people having the same issue, so I'm assuming the cam is dead. But it boots up, never says "recording, 2 channels started" then a couple of second later I hear the boot sound again (repeat forever).

I'm using the viofo hardwire kit for this particular cam and its about 8 months old.

What i've tried so far:
1) eject the card (boots and says "please insert memory card, please insert", yes it stops mid sentence, but doesn't reboot again)
2) reset (both yellow and wifi button which causes a beep, and the reset in the recessed hole), neither works
3) new card - no difference
4) tried the USB power supply that comes in the box with the camera - no difference.

Very occasionally, it'll start recording (like maybe one in about 20 reboots)

Its a pity cause my other car has a blackvue and its been going strong for a good 5 solid years.

1. Incompatible SD Card. Very Likely Problem. Please check Viofo Website for Recommended SD Cards.
2. A Bad Cable if its going Recording 2 or 3 Channel to Recording 1 or 2 Channel.

Option #1 most likely issue.

If camera is hardwired, please try removing power from hardwire kit and test using 12V socket. Just to make sure you are not getting interference from improper hardwire.

Format this card, try another SD card. Try the function on a different power supply

I am afraid this is not as simple as "bad power adapter or cable" / "bad card", but rather a "bad lemon". There are too many complains with the same defective behavior. Mine started rebooting after almost 2 years of functioning, using recommended viofo cards. But it keeps rebooting with or without a card being inserted, so the card is not the issue. Keeps rebooting even with the original adapter (is new and unused) and cable, besides a lot of other high power adapter or power banks I have tested.
